About This Role

The Estate Sale Lead position at New Life Estate Sales is a crucial position for the success of the company.

The Lead position is responsible for the entire process of preparing and putting on a successful estate sale. The Lead person oversees the entire event, ensuring that our customers, clients and other associates are taken care of and happy with the sale.

The Estate Sale Lead is assigned a sale and becomes the main contact for the family. The Lead has a team to assist and gives direction to each member. Preparing the home and belongings for the sale is the first step. Throwing out trash, gathering like items together, staging the sale, researching and pricing the items. The Lead takes photos of the sale items and uploads them to the Estate Sale site. On the sale days, the Lead runs the checkout area and is a resource person for customers and other staff members. 

Work Hours

  • Monday-Wednesday 8:00 – 5:00 Home preparation, staging, pricing, and photographing
  • Thursday or Friday 8:00 – 5:00
  • Saturday or Sunday 8:00 – 5:00

Duties

  • Set up and stage the home in an attractive manner
  • Price the items using online research when needed
  • Capture appealing photos of the items for sale and upload them to advertise the sale
  • Direct team members during the sale, ensuring questions are answered to promote greater sales
  • Maintain safety within the home, taking care to ensure the home and possessions are not harmed.
  • Uphold the company’s core values throughout the entire process
  • Motivate the team to interact with customers by reminding each of the profit goal for the sale.
  • Reach sale goals consistently
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

Requirements

  • Current driver’s license and ability to drive 50 miles from office location
  • Consistent detail orientation and ability to multitask.
  • Comfortable leading a team, giving direction and feedback as needed.
  • Social and sales skills allowing for fun while also helping customers find and buy desired items
  • Customer service and problem solving skills
  • Thrives in fast paced positions, works well under pressure
  • Soft computer skills
