Estate Prep Associate
About This Role
The Estate Prep Associate position at New Life Estate Sales is a supporting role that focuses on getting the home and belongings ready for the event day.
This entails driving to the client’s home at the prescribed time and prepping the home and possessions. Some cleaning and disposing of trash may be required. Organizing and staging the belongings in a pleasing way is essential, with the goal of making it look like a retail store.
Researching items to determine value and sale price is completed next. Putting price tags on items and placing price and directional signs in the home is another part of the position. Assisting with advertising photos and uploads to the sale site is a task the Prep Associate also completes.
The goal of this position is to transform the home into a pleasant and fun area for customers to find desired treasures. This role is great for someone just starting out and wanting to learn more about the industry. Degrees and experience are not required. A sharp mind and great work ethic is required.
Work Hours
- Monday – Wednesday 8:30 – 5:00
- Some flexibility with the work hours may be possible
Duties
- Arrive to the home at the assigned time and get guidance from the team lead about priorities and focus for the day.
- Cleaning, throwing out trash, organizing and staging belongings and furniture
- Complete any needed internet searches to assist with research and pricing.
- Assist team mates with whatever is needed to get the home ready for the sale
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Requirements
- Current driver’s license and ability to drive within 50 miles of Nashville area
- Knowledge or interest in home decor, brands, antiques, tools, art and furniture– a big plus
- Organizational and time management skills
- Detail orientation is essential as well as being able to organize and present the client’s wares in an appealing way
- Soft computer and internet skills. Proficiency with using phone aps
- Industrious and motivated to reach targets and get tasks completed
- GED or high school diploma preferred
